A ton of FUN! My style of shooting is very kid centered and 'go with the flow' type. If you have children, the shoot will generally be based around them and how they are responding (don't worry, we will still make sure to get some shots of just the parents too!)
There will be lots of laughs, cuddles, tickles, and games. Sometimes the energy is crazy and sometimes we calm it down. Either way, I am constantly shooting trying to capture those in between moments. Depending on the location, there may be a little walk/hike. However, if you need to bring anything along to be prepared I will let you know before hand.

Luckily within Grey County, there are TONS of beautiful locations around! I have many locations I can recommend to you depending on the vibe you are going for but I am always open to new suggestions. Locations can include; waterfalls, feilds, hiking trails, waterfronts, or your own home. Majority of the locations I recommend are in Grey County, however I love to travel. There is a travel fee if your location is over 20km from Maxwell, ON. Once your session has been booked, you will receive a location guide full of suggestions!

A few tips when it comes to picking your outfits:
1. Coordinate. Don't match! Layering can help tie all the colours together.
2. Choose neutral clothing. Earthy tones are perfect for any shoot (maroons, dark greens, mustard yellows, browns, beiges etc).
3. Dress comfortably. Pick clothing that will let you run freely and be carefree. What you want to remember in 10 or 20 years isn't how talented you were at styling your kids but how happy you were together as a family.
4. Keep it simple. Minimize patterns. Consider textures like lace, knit, etc.
5. Don't be afraid to dress up or dress out of your comfort zone. Wear something you have been wanting to wear but haven't had the occasion. OR wear something that is YOU! If you and your partner are the jeans and t-shirt kind and can't fathom fancy then come as you are.

The only time you will be unable to extend the length of your session is with a themed mini session (unless you purchase an additional time slot).

Yes, a $50 + HST non-refundable retainer is required at booking. The remainder is due before or on the shoot date. For intimate weddings + elopements, the non-refundable retainer is $500 + HST. I accept cash or e-transfer.

You can book by sending me an email by clicking on the 'Contact' tab to the left. I answer emails from Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. If you have not heard back from me within 48 hours (excluding weekends), please send a follow up email.

You will receive your gallery within 4 weeks after your scheduled shoot date.
For mini sessions (Christmas, sunflower minis, fall minis etc), galleries will be delivered within 3 weeks from the shoot date.

If you need to reschedule within 7 days of your session, you will need to pay an additional $50 + HST for your new date. The only time the re-scheduling fee will not be applied is if I cancel our session due to weather conditions. Unfortunately others may have inquired regarding your original date, and would have been unable to book.

I highly recommend you book during "golden hour." This is an hour before sunset, when the lighting is best. If you are unable to book during this time, we can find a shaded area to do your session.

Yes! All of your images from your session will be backed up onto 4 different hard drives. I keep these images for one year after your session date.

You do not have to order prints through me but I do not have any guarantee on images not printed by me. I highly recommend ordering your prints through Pixieset, the website where your gallery will be delivered. Ordering your prints through Pixieset is fast and easy and ensures you will not lose any quality in your images.
Through my online store you are able to purchase a large variety of specialty prints. This includes but is not limited to; standard prints (4x6, 5x7, etc), canvases, framed prints, wood prints, cards etc.
